The majority of studies at the Pedagogical University of Cracow prepare students for the teaching profession. It also offers non-teaching fields and specialities.

Following their first year of studies, full-time students in the fields of history, political science, biology, geography and physics, and extramural students in the fields of political science and geography may choose a speciality or specialization. Information about the range of choices of specialities and specializations is included in the section: RULES OF RECRUITMENT FOR FIELDS AND SPECIALITIES OF STUDIES.

If students decide to switch from five-year Master's degree studies to the two-stage system, the requirements and procedure of recruitment determined by the Senate for five-year Master's degree studies will be binding for the first stage of studies of the two-stage system.
